CT to FL Day 20
North Myrtle Beach, SC to Murells Inlet, SC
We departed from Barefoot Landing this morning at 0800... very short day planned to stop fuel at Waca Wache Marina in Murells Inlet.

Spent the first 3 hours fighting current running under 6 knots... SIGH but current switched around at Bucksport Marina and we were soon running at nearly 8 knots al the way to the marina... arriving at 1215.

We docked on the fuel dock and took on about 1,100 gallons of diesel... SAILS was hungry. After fueling we moved back to the south end of the fuel dock where we would be docked for the night.

At 1330 we were secure on the dock with shore power connected. Our location for night N33°33.733',W079°05.172'. We traveled today for 4.5 hours covering 28.0 nautical miles averaging 6.6 knots.

CT to FL Day 19
Carolina Beach, NC to North Myrtle Beach, SC
We pulled the anchor at 0630 this morning just before sunrise... leaving early to take advantage of the ebb current on the Cape Fear River... the Cape Fear can have up to a 3 knot current and did not want to have it against us... leaving early we flew down it at 8 to 9 knots... after that the current was back and forth... with us and against us the rest of the day...

We arrived to our destination for the day... Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach at approximately 1345 and we were secure on the dock at 1400. Our location for night N33°48.044',W078°44.843'. We traveled today for 7.5 hours covering 50.5 nautical miles averaging 6.7 knots.

CT to FL Day 18
Swansboro, NC to Carolina Beach, NC
We left Swansboro ar 0745... was a beautiful day... sunny and mild winds.. did have several hours of current against us... but averaged over 6 knots for the day.

Had a very nice bridge tender today in Wrightsville Beach... he actually hailed us and said he was going to delay the bridge opening so that we would be able to make his scheduled opening... this rarely happens. They normally stick tight to their opening schedule. If he had not done this we would of had to sit for an hour waiting for his next opening.

We had planned to get a mooring ball in Carolina Beach but we they were all taken... so we dropped the hook just north of the mooring field... we were secure on the hook at 1645. Our location for night N34°03.150',W077°53.280'. We traveled today for 9.0 hours covering 57.5 nautical miles averaging 6.4 knots.
